Vision-language-action (VLA) models have emerged as a powerful paradigm for robotic manipulation, enabling robots to generate actions from visual observations and language instructions. However, most existing VLA models still operate on image-level visual representations inherited from pretrained vision-language backbones, while lacking fine-grained object understanding for manipulation. As a result, their robustness can degrade under out-of-distribution object layouts, clutter, and background variations. To address these limitations, we introduce ObjDream, an object-centric VLA framework centered on object-level understanding and future object state prediction. ObjDream uses a spatio-temporal object encoder to organize visual observations into temporal object slots, where persistent object identity and dynamic object state are represented through separate channels. These structured object representations are inserted into the token sequence of the vision-language model (VLM), where identity-guided routing modulates VLM attention to the corresponding object tokens. In addition, an action-conditioned object dynamics module predicts compact future object states relevant to manipulation during training, explicitly supervising object state evolution under robot actions without requiring future prediction at inference. Experiments on LIBERO, LIBERO-Plus, and RoboTwin 2.0 show that ObjDream improves generalization under diverse distribution shifts and scene perturbations. Real-world robot experiments further demonstrate that ObjDream transfers to physical manipulation settings with novel object arrangements and background changes.

Retrieving useful context for a robot requires matching its task, execution stage, and the continuation that should follow. We introduce Robota-Embed, to our knowledge the first vision-language-action (VLA) embedding model to jointly encode all three modalities in both current-state queries and recorded future continuations. Predictive retrieval training aligns these endpoints, enabling historical continuations to serve as context at inference time. We construct a multi-source corpus of 1,695,684 cleaned training anchors and introduce Robota-Embed-Bench, with 4,000 queries and a shared 8,000-entry gallery. Robota-Embed achieves 47.33% clip-level and 81.77% episode-level R@1, exceeding action-free Gemini Embedding 2 by 22.09 and 33.47 percentage points. Controlled retrieval studies show that removing native action degrades retrieval more than removing vision. We study two complementary applications. Embed2ICL uses retrieved experience for training-free and training-based policy conditioning, increasing success from 47.0% to 56.3% in DROID-Sim and from 86.4% to 92.8% on the LIBERO difficult subset, while improving task progress on real robots. Embed2Evolve uses execution feedback to grow task-local memory and refine context use around a frozen GPT-6 Astra policy. Across five ManiSkill tasks, it achieves 68% success, compared with 24% for GPT-6 Astra Direct and 33% for a harness independently evolved with Omni-Embed-Nemotron-3B under the same protocol. Relative to the latter, it uses approximately 79.5% fewer policy tokens per test rollout, counting both successes and failures. These results show that a unified, action-aware retrieval space can support robot in-context learning and task-local context evolution.

Tactile sensing is becoming central to robust, adaptive, and dexterous robotic manipulation. Beyond its traditional role in contact detection and reactive control, touch is increasingly used to learn transferable representations, condition manipulation policies, and support embodied physical reasoning. Yet existing surveys largely emphasize tactile hardware and perception, leaving the rapid shift toward learning-based tactile manipulation insufficiently synthesized. This paper reviews tactile-guided skill learning from a learning-centric perspective, organized by the functional role of touch across the learning and control pipeline. We examine tactile representation and policy learning, tactile foundation models, predictive and adaptive control, and generalization across objects, tasks, sensors, embodiments, and simulation-to-real transfer. Across these directions, we identify common design principles and remaining challenges in learning transferable physical representations, integrating semantic reasoning with contact-level control, and scaling tactile learning across heterogeneous data and hardware. Finally, we outline emerging directions toward tactile foundation and world models that can predict, reason about, and adapt physical interactions. Together, this review characterizes the transition of touch from a task-specific feedback signal toward a core modality for general-purpose embodied intelligence. An accompanying database of the reviewed literature and associated resources is available at https://sites.google.com/view/touch-in-robot-learning-review.

Vision-language-action (VLA) models connect visual perception and language understanding with robot control, providing a foundation for instruction-conditioned manipulation. However, conventional pretrained VLA policies lack a mechanism for gradual adaptation through accumulated interaction experience during deployment. We therefore propose VLRLA, a general framework that equips existing VLA models with in-context reinforcement learning capabilities for deployment-time adaptation. Our approach augments a VLA model with a reinforcement learning module that learns from historical observations, actions, rewards, and termination signals. During deployment, the policy gradually refines its action generation and progressively improves task success while keeping model parameters fixed. Our approach is also designed for general applicability and compatibility with diverse learning history construction strategies and model training pipelines. Finally, through extensive experiments, we systematically investigate the learning properties of VLRLA in simulation and demonstrate its ability to adapt to unseen scenarios during real-world deployment.

Vision-language-action (VLA) models have recently achieved remarkable progress by leveraging large-scale robot datasets and foundation models for general-purpose robot manipulation. However, their ability to rapidly adapt to novel manipulation tasks beyond the training distribution remains limited. Existing approaches often require task-specific robot demonstrations and additional training, which are labor- and compute-intensive, limiting the scalability of VLA adaptation to open-world scenarios. To reduce this dependence on target-task robot data, we propose CapPro, a framework that enables a VLA policy to adapt to previously unseen manipulation tasks using only a single human demonstration video. CapPro consists of two components. First, a phase-aware human video representation module constructs a compact video representation through learned visual token selection and learns task-relevant query representations under phase-caption supervision. Second, a video-conditioned adaptation module jointly incorporates the compact video and query-derived representations into the action-conditioning context of the pretrained VLA policy. % This design introduces task-specific guidance while largely preserving the original VLA action-generation backbone. In this way, the human demonstration provides task-specific execution guidance rather than an embodiment-aligned trajectory to imitate, without requiring target-task robot demonstrations or target-task fine-tuning. Experiments across source and unseen target tasks show that CapPro improves average performance across unseen target groups while maintaining comparable performance on the source tasks. These results demonstrate the effectiveness of human-video guidance for cross-task VLA adaptation.

Human demonstrations offer a scalable alternative to costly robot data collection for dexterous manipulation, but most human datasets lack force measurements. Dexterous manipulation requires not only visual and proprioceptive understanding but also the ability to anticipate and regulate interaction forces. To scale force-aware human-robot co-training, we introduce EgoForce, a large-scale human tactile dataset capturing force-rich manipulation experience, and combine it with robot demonstrations for pretraining. We present FACT, a robot foundation model that cascades from prospective visual planning to force-aware refinement for dexterous manipulation. FACT comprises two jointly trained components. A Track-Guided Coarse Planner jointly predicts actions, future video, and visual tracks. Future video and visual tracks also provide a shared task representation that facilitates cross-embodiment knowledge transfer and coarse action generation. Building on this coarse plan, a Force-Action Joint Refiner jointly predicts future force and refines the coarse action, allowing anticipated force and action to shape each other during refinement. We evaluate the model on ten tasks requiring fine-grained coordination and force feedback, including tool use, musical instruments, and precision laboratory procedures. Using as few as 10 robot trajectories with 90 human trajectories for fine-tuning, FACT outperforms both baselines, with success-rate gains of up to 60 percentage points over T-Rex. Ablations show that force supervision in human pretraining data is crucial for downstream robot performance after fine-tuning, while visual track prediction and training with future-force prediction improve dexterous execution. Experiments varying the human-robot data ratio during fine-tuning further suggest that FACT learns from human demonstrations nearly as effectively as from robot demonstrations.

Reinforcement learning has enabled robust locomotion for legged robots, but learned policies are typically tied to a specific robot morphology and require additional engineering when the number of legs, actuators, or mechanical properties change. We present PolyMorph, a morphology-conditioned framework that learns a single locomotion policy for heterogeneous legged robots. PolyMorph converts each robot's URDF into joint-link modules and combines a recurrent encoder, graph-based Transformer, and per-joint decoder to generate actions across variable leg counts and joint configurations. To improve training stability, PolyMorph uses morphology-normalized rewards, adaptive robot sampling, and URDF-derived PD-gain initialization. We evaluate PolyMorph in simulation across bipedal, tripedal, and quadrupedal robots, including unseen morphology variants and platforms, and deploy the policy on real quadruped platforms operated in multiple configurations. The results show that a single PolyMorph policy generalizes across diverse robot morphologies without per-robot policy retraining.

Recent advances in robot learning have driven rapid progress in humanoid control, enabling increasingly agile behaviors in the real world. However, humanoid control networks are typically obtained through conventional training procedures, while comparatively little attention has been given to directly modeling the distribution of their learned weights and generating functional networks in weight space. In this work, we investigate whether high-performing humanoid control networks can be generatively modeled directly through their weights. We adopt a latent diffusion framework that couples a linear autoencoder with a Diffusion Transformer. The autoencoder compresses actor network parameters into a compact latent space, and the Diffusion Transformer models the distribution of these latents. Trained on networks collected from reinforcement learning for the Unitree G1 robot, our approach generates deployable networks that perform various motions in the real world, including walking, dancing, and spin kick. Beyond generation, we further study the learned weight space to better understand the structure captured by these humanoid control networks. We identify a structural principle in the first-layer weights that consistently reflects the robot's kinematic prior. Notably, this kinematic prior emerges under both Reinforcement Learning (RL) and Imitation Learning (IL) training, suggesting that it is not specific to a particular optimization process but may instead reflect common knowledge associated with humanoid embodiment. Together, these results demonstrate the feasibility of generative modeling in humanoid network weight space, while providing initial insights into the information encoded by their learned weights. Humanoid loco-manipulation requires coordinated whole-body interaction with the physical world, yet collecting robot demonstrations at scale remains costly. Human demonstrations offer a scalable alternative, but existing egocentric human supervision often omits locomotion and posture, while embodiment differences and controller dynamics hinder accurate end-effector execution. We introduce HumanVerse, a 500-hour dataset of open-world human loco-manipulation pairing egocentric video with synchronized body and hand motion. Our human-to-humanoid pipeline aligns camera viewpoints and arm appearance, and refines motion references and controller inputs offline to reduce end-effector errors while preserving whole-body coordination. We validate the pipeline through zero-shot transfer to Unitree G1 on representative whole-body manipulation and long-range loco-manipulation tasks, without target-task robot demonstrations. Building on this pipeline, we develop $λ_0$, a humanoid foundation model for whole-body loco-manipulation, with robot-aligned human demonstrations providing supervision for mid-training. Increasing whole-body human data consistently improves downstream task progress. $λ_0$ achieves 90.0% success on SIMPLE and 62.5% across real-world loco-manipulation tasks. We expect this study to guide scalable whole-body human data collection toward humanoid foundation models for richer interaction with the physical world. Homepage: https://lambdahumanoid.github.io/

Humanoid policies trained in simulation can transfer qualitatively to hardware while failing to transfer the force interactions learned during training, compromising torque efficiency, load regulation, and robustness to impacts. This failure can arise from actuator sim-to-real gaps because forces depend on actuator torques. We introduce Contact-UAN, a residual world model that preserves a simulator's physics priors while correcting actuator dynamics to align simulated rollouts with recorded hardware rollouts. For humanoid motion with contact, this requires contact-consistent replay: if hardware playback in simulation begins with misaligned contact wrenches, the residual model learns to correct reset artifacts rather than actuator discrepancies. Using only onboard proprioception, Contact-UAN infers the simulator-side stance-foot pose needed to initialize replay with consistent contact forces. We show that a UAN trained on 6.5 minutes of real-world walking data generalizes to tasks that benefit from accurate force and impulse regulation and produces policies that transfer seamlessly to the real world, yielding 20% lower running torque, 43% lower force-tracking error, extreme compliance, accurate impedance control, and dynamic, robust jumps.

Action-chunking vision-language-action (VLA) models predict sequences of future robot actions. Under fixed-horizon execution, the robot executes a fixedlength prefix of each predicted chunk before invoking the policy again, leaving the remaining predictions unused. For a given number of executed actions, short execution horizons require more policy calls. Extending the execution horizon amortizes policy inference cost over more actions. However, uniformly applying long horizons across episodes can limit opportunities for precise corrections. To address this limitation, we propose PICES (Perturbation-Informed Chunk and Execution Horizon Selection), a training-free method that jointly selects an action chunk and the number of actions executed before the next policy call. Within a single policy call, the action expert generates a batch of action chunks from multiple initial noise samples and their locally perturbed counterparts, using the same conditioning features across all samples. PICES exploits differences between corresponding actions in each nominal chunk and its counterpart to determine candidate-specific execution horizons and select a nominal chunk for execution. Experiments on simulation benchmarks and real-world manipulation tasks demonstrate that PICES achieves speedup by up to 2.3x in wall-clock policy inference time on Jetson Orin and Thor relative to fixed horizon baselines while improving the success rate.

Pretrained vision-language-action models (VLAs) often fail midway through unseen long-horizon tasks. Recursive self-improvement (RSI) offers a remedy, but embodied RSI methods either refine the harness around a frozen executor and so cannot add a missing motion, or train the executor on persistent failures without asking whether a failure lies in how the executor is called or in what it can do. We ask when a self-improving embodied system should change the weights of its executor, and propose AdaRSI, an on-demand RSI framework for embodied agents. A coding agent first improves its skills and harness, then attributes persistent failures by retrying failing sub-steps from saved states, and fine-tunes only the sub-steps that remain unreliable, with demonstrations it collects itself and experience carried over from earlier tasks. On all 50 target tasks of RoboCasa365, with GR00T N1.5 as the executor and no human demonstrations, AdaRSI improves the VLA on all three suites and raises its success on unseen composite tasks from 4.6% to 13.8%. Compared with fine-tuning every sub-step, it reaches slightly higher success while using only 28% of the GPU time and 22% of the self-collected demonstrations, and fine-tuning without a harness trains more yet gains far less.

We present FoveaVLA, a Vision-Language-Action (VLA) model that replaces the wrist camera with learned foveation actions. Wrist cameras provide close-up detail but restrict the view to the end-effector's surroundings. External cameras see the whole scene, but the policy receives them at low resolution, so the fine detail needed for manipulation is lost. FoveaVLA recovers this detail by predicting, alongside each action chunk, the interaction region to observe at the next policy query. The policy then receives crops of these regions, taken from the original-resolution images, together with the full views. We build FoveaVLA on $π_{0.5}$ in two configurations, Single and Dual, using one or two external stereo cameras with full and foveal RGB and depth inputs, and post-train both on DROID with RoboInter interaction annotations. Across four real-world task suites, FoveaVLA-Single achieves 70.8% success with one external RGB-D view, and FoveaVLA-Dual achieves 77.1%, versus 52.1% for the wrist-equipped $π_{0.5}$. Both match the baseline on plain pick-and-place and improve success with distractors, cloth manipulation, and far-away objects.

We present KinoGen, a framework that synthesizes customizable humanoid loco-manipulation references through kinematically grounded video generation. KinoGen conditions a pretrained video generator on calibrated renders of the target robot and object in a simulated task instance and recovers the reference by fitting the same models to the generated two-view video, so that the reference lies in the robot configuration space by construction without a human body proxy or retargeting. Body, hand, and object priors initialize the reconstruction, and direct optimization against cross-view evidence refines it. Since an edited keyframe is simply another rendered state, a user can prescribe a goal object pose, regenerate the video around the edited keyframe, and obtain a reference that satisfies the pose exactly. Across eight loco-manipulation tasks, KinoGen yields lower penetration and foot skating than video-based baselines and preserves over 90% of annotated contacts, and its customized references satisfy every prescribed target with substantially less penetration than direct interpolation. Tracking policies trained on the synthesized references are deployed on a Unitree G1 humanoid with dexterous hands. Project webpage: https://kinogen-humanoid.github.io/.

Whole-body mobile manipulation suffers from two fundamental challenges: inherent motion heterogeneity across locomotion, arm, and hand modules, and progressive error accumulation over long-horizon multi-stage tasks. Existing teleoperation platforms also lack integrated dexterous tactile sensing to support coordinated whole-body decision-making. This paper presents RoboSpan, a high-DoF whole-body teleoperation and demonstration platform, and the Hierarchical Modular Framework (HMF) for learning modular coordination policies. HMF functionally decouples the 29-DoF action space into fine hand manipulation, arm pose adjustment, and mobile-base spatial configuration branches, and introduces the Coordinated Modular Embodied Transformer (COMET) with inter-modular cross-attention to enable dynamic information exchange and action coordination. Vision-language model driven hierarchical task decomposition structurally suppresses temporal error propagation, while a full-palm 2D tactile representation encodes distributed contact signals for cross-module tactile empowerment. Experiments on a physical 29-DoF robot demonstrate that the proposed method achieves over 20% higher task success rate than mainstream baselines across a range of long-horizon whole-body tasks, markedly improving stability and robustness in contact-rich manipulation.

Collective Learning for Unified Robotic Manipulation via Predictive Dynamics Adaptation

Learning a collective policy for state-based Cartesian manipulation across diverse robotic embodiments presents a fundamental challenge due to embodiment-dependent transition dynamics. Collective learning aggregates multi-robot experience to discover shared task structure, yet naive aggregation can average incompatible action modes when different embodiments realize the same Cartesian command through different transition behavior. This leads to strategy ambiguity and performance collapse on dynamically outlying embodiments. To address this, we propose PACE, a two-stage collective learning framework that separates shared task-space intent from embodiment-dependent transition dynamics. The first stage employs a representation layer pre-trained on offline trajectories to extract task-level context from collective data. The second stage introduces a decision layer equipped with a predictive dynamics adapter. By forcing the latent state to predict future transitions, this adapter acts as a latent regularizer that grounds the policy in the transition behavior of the executing robot while preserving real-time inference without online planning. Evaluations across simulated embodiments demonstrate that our method prevents performance collapse on distinct robots. It achieves over 93% overall success and 89% on dynamically out-of-distribution zero-shot simulated robots, outperforming the Transformer behavior cloning (82%) and diffusion policy baselines (66%). Physical KUKA deployment further validates the feasibility of the full state-based pipeline under zero-shot sim-to-real transfer.

Learning and executing long-horizon robot manipulation as complete task trajectories raises data-collection costs, lim?its capability reuse, and causes local failures to cascade into later task stages. We introduce manipulation units (MUs) as reusable operations, each defined by a local goal, an initi?ation condition, and observable success and failure criteria. MUs are learned and verified individually. During execution, consecutive MUs remain coupled through shared environ?ment dynamics. We formulate MU-Structured Manipulation (MUSM) and realize it through MU-Centric Orchestration (MUCO). Given language and vision, MUCO constructs an MU sequence, matches each MU to compatible policy models in a frozen capability registry, and dispatches the model with the highest calibrated success rate. Visual verification checks MU outcomes against success and failure criteria and governs transitions, enabling retry or fallback to another model from the current state without re-executing verified MUs. Canonical keys enable checkpoint reuse for equivalent MUs across tasks without new demonstrations or updates. We evaluate MUCO on RLBench, RoboTwin 2.0, and five real-world tasks. MUCO achieves higher complete-task success and verified progress, stronger failure containment, and lower error propagation than baselines. Results demonstrate cross-task MU reuse and het?erogeneous policy composition without joint training, shared backbones, or common action representations.

Scaling embodied robot learning requires large and diverse manipulation datasets, but collecting real-world demonstrations remains expensive in human effort and robot time. Simulation provides a scalable alternative, yet converting a real workspace into a robot-learning-ready environment still requires substantial manual effort for object extraction, asset processing, coordinate calibration, and trajectory specification. We present AutoRSR, a highly automated real-to-sim-to real framework that converts scanned real-world workspaces into reusable embodied simulation assets and scalable manipulation data. Given multi-view observations, robot states, and open-vocabulary semantic queries, AutoRSR reconstructs the workspace, extracts individual object assets, and automatically registers the reconstructed scene to the robot base frame at metric scale. Starting from a small number of reference motions, AutoRSR then generates executable manipulation trajectories and scales them through trajectory interpolation and domain randomization. After workspace scanning and semantic queries, the remaining pipeline requires no manual object annotation, scene-to-robot calibration, or robot teleoperation. Across three real-world manipulation tasks, policies trained on 1K automatically generated episodes per task achieve 73.3--86.7% real-world success rates, comparable to pi 0.5 trained from 150 human teleoperated demonstrations, while reducing the human time required for data generation by an order of magnitude. These results demonstrate that real-world observations can be converted into metrically aligned, executable, and scalable simulation data with substantially reduced human effort.

Whole-body control plays a crucial role in enabling humanoid robots to execute expressive motions. Faithful execution requires preserving both the intended action and its expressive characteristics. Existing whole-body trackers typically balance joint and keypoint tracking with physical stability across diverse motions, but these objectives do not necessarily prioritize the expressive characteristics of each action. Our analysis shows that lower average positional tracking error does not guarantee better preservation of dynamic and postural motion characteristics. To address this gap, we propose a residual learning framework with compensation objectives targeting amplitude, energy, body expansion, body lean, and pelvis height. To concentrate compensation while limiting interference with the underlying tracking behavior, motion-aware gating allocates correction capacity according to body-part activity, preserving larger correction ranges in more active parts and restricting them elsewhere. For each frozen tracker, we train motion-specific residual policies and distill them into a unified policy shared across motion categories. Simulation and physical experiments on the Unitree G1 across eight motion categories demonstrate superior preservation of dynamic and postural motion characteristics compared with the corresponding baselines.

This paper presents $S^3$-Nav, a structured spatial-semantic decision-making framework for language-guided robot navigation under partial observability. Rather than assuming a complete environment representation in advance, $S^3$-Nav incrementally constructs persistent spatial-semantic state while exposing only a capacity-controlled, task-conditioned view to the high-level policy. This separation decouples what the robot must retain from what the policy needs to inspect, allowing decision complexity to be controlled without discarding grounded evidence required for subsequent reasoning and validation. High-level navigation outputs remain provisional and are independently grounded and validated against persistent semantic evidence and current geometric observations before physical execution or task termination. Evaluations across multiple environments and object- and relation-goal tasks demonstrate that separating persistent state, decision-facing evidence, and execution authority improves closed-loop navigation reliability while reducing policy reasoning cost.

Vision-language-action (VLA) models have shown strong potential for general-purpose robotic manipulation, but extending them to bimanual dexterous manipulation introduces a high-dimensional and structured action space. Existing bimanual VLA policies commonly concatenate right- and left-side arm--hand actions at each control timestep, leaving cross-hand interactions implicit within a single action vector. We introduce Coordi-$π$, a structured action representation for bimanual dexterous manipulation. Coordi-$π$ represents the right- and left-side arm--hand actions as individual action tokens and organizes them into an interleaved sequence, explicitly exposing the two sides within the action sequence. To explicitly encode hand identity and temporal synchronization in this interleaved representation, a learnable hand-identity embedding distinguishes the two sides, while sequence--control-timestep factorized rotary positional encoding (RoPE) separates sequence position from control timestep, allowing actions at the same control timestep to share a temporal coordinate while retaining distinct sequence positions. Across all five bimanual dexterous manipulation tasks in DexJoCo, Coordi-$π$ achieves state-of-the-art performance under both rand-obj and rand-full, improving the average success rate over $π_{0.5}$ from 31.9% to 51.3% and from 18.3% to 32.3%, respectively. Coordi-$π$ also consistently outperforms $π_{0.5}$ across four real-world bimanual dexterous manipulation tasks.

Reinforcement-learning policies for robot locomotion can fail at deployment when operating conditions shift (e.g., rough or slippery terrain, payload changes, sensing degradation), and retraining or manual recalibration is often infeasible under on-device latency and memory constraints. We study test-time adaptation (TTA) for robotic control: adapting a pretrained policy online and in a self-supervised manner during execution, without access to rewards. Our starting point is a lightweight baseline that updates only the actor using a frozen pretrained critic as a deployment-time performance surrogate. Building on this, we introduce TEMPO, a test-time entropy-regularized, memory-guided policy optimization method that stabilizes critic-driven updates under severe shift. TEMPO combines (i) an entropy-promoting regularizer on the critic's predictive distribution to mitigate overconfident extrapolation, and (ii) a score-based memory, inspired by prioritized replay, that prioritizes low-value ("hard") observations and applies importance sampling to focus limited computation on the most informative deployment conditions. Across Go1, Go2, and G1 in MuJoCo Playground under four representative shifts and multiple architectures, TEMPO yields consistent gains, reaching up to 80% improvement in a single-device setting. We further validate on a physical Unitree Go2 with an added calf payload, where fully on-device adaptation improves performance over the non-adapted baseline across real-world episodes.

Recent vision-language-action (VLA) models have shown strong performance on local robot manipulation, yet their success does not readily translate to long-horizon mobile manipulation. In our experiments, a pretrained subtask VLA achieves 80% success rate on atomic manipulation tasks but only 19% when these skills are composed into mobile manipulation. We argue that this gap stems from failures across the execution process rather than from local manipulation capability alone. To uncover these bottlenecks, we systematically diagnose failures in long-horizon mobile manipulation and identify three dominant regimes: task planning, navigation and base positioning, and local manipulation. Based on this diagnosis, we develop failure-guided agentic intervention that augments a fixed subtask VLA with demonstration-based planning guidance, adaptive visual memory, accessibility-aware base adjustment, and local end-effector adjustment. On RoboCasa365, these interventions progressively improve task success from 19% to 47%, with the finalized system reaching 49% on held-out episode seeds, compared with 18% for the baseline. The same design improves performance from 14% to 37% on BEHAVIOR-1K and from 5/20 to 13/20 on real-robot tasks. These results suggest that reliable mobile manipulation can be advanced by diagnosing and intervening on the current bottleneck, rather than uniformly scaling the underlying policy. Our code will be released at https://github.com/PKU-VaLuE-Lab/Cracking-Mobile-Manipulation.git.

Foundation models are driving a paradigm shift in robotic intelligence, moving beyond low-level action prediction to goal-directed orchestration of data collection, model training, task planning, and real-world execution. We characterize this emerging paradigm as an agentic robots, in which agents reason over human instructions, interact with robotic environments, rectify execution errors autonomously, and dynamically adjust operational strategies. Although this field develops fast, current studies are not well connected. Researchers have no consistent view of how to combine different agentic functions into a complete robot system. This paper provides a unified overview of existing research on agentic robots. We first trace the development from robot policies to agentic systems, covering vision-language-action models, world models, and world-action models. We then clarify the definition and scope of agentic robots and organize existing research into seventeen categories across four functional domains: Model, Data, Environment, and Harness. Across these domains, we examine how agents shape model learning and robot decisions, collect and curate robot data, construct worlds, tasks, and tests for learning and evaluation, and organize capabilities for robot use. Finally, we discuss open challenges and outline directions for future research. Looking forward, we hope this work contributes to a clearer understanding of agentic robots and supports new approaches to making them more capable, reliable, and adaptive.

Progress toward general intelligence in the physical world requires scaling robot learning across diverse environments and interactions. However, existing robot policies use shared parameters that remain fixed across interaction contexts. When different operations favor competing parameter adjustments, fitting their mixture can leave individual operations insufficiently adapted. Our atomic-task diagnostics reveal competing update directions in both vision-language and action parameters, with source-improving updates increasing loss on other tasks. This motivates MorphAct, a contextual parameterization framework that dynamically adjusts robot policy parameters as interaction contexts change. Two coupled generators produce context-dependent low-rank updates for the vision-language and action modules. Their coupling follows the policy's computational dependency: vision-language updates shape the representations that condition action-side parameter generation. Both generators are trained jointly through the native action objective, without operation labels or expert-adapter targets. MorphAct improves performance across three VLA backbones on LIBERO and Meta-World, with gains of up to 16.30%. In real-world evaluation, it achieves gains of up to 14% over $π_{0.5}$. Ablations support the benefits of contextual parameter generation and representation coupling.

Gaze coordinates attention in human interaction through coupled eye, head, and eyelid motion. A humanoid robot must choose where to look while generating a suitable movement toward that target; fixed tracking rules alone do not model the temporal structure of human gaze. We separate these tasks with an asynchronous vision-language model that selects a scene referent, a reactive perception module that maintains fixation, and a Realistic Gaze Transformer (RGT) that generates target-conditioned motion. RGT is a Transformer-VAE trained on markerless human recordings retargeted to the robot's 11-DoF joint space: self-supervised pretraining encodes recent full-head history, and autoregressive fine-tuning exposes the model to its own predictions during rollout. At inference, a four-dimensional binocular-eye trajectory conditions coordinated neck and eye motion; an auxiliary blink predictor triggers eyelid templates during playback. On a two-second benchmark in which all controllers receive the same ground-truth target, RGT-Base obtains the lowest reported overall seven-joint MSE, and physical demonstrations show the integrated targeting and control pipeline. The evidence establishes robot-space kinematic fidelity and real-time RGT inference; perceived naturalness and open-vocabulary target-selection accuracy remain questions for controlled evaluation.

Rapid progress in AI agents and robotics makes it a matter of the near future that humans are served by a team of robots. Such a team will receive several goals at once, each specified in whatever form is convenient for the human, such as a category name, a photo, or a spoken description. Existing benchmarks study multi-agent, multi-modal, and multi-object goal navigation in isolation, and a benchmark that places all three in one episode is missing. To fill this gap, we introduce HM3D-M3. A team of K agents starts at distributed locations in a photorealistic indoor scene and searches for an unordered set of M object goals, each given as an open-vocabulary category, an instance image, or an instance description. HM3D-M3 provides 1,000 validation episodes over 3,926 goals from 379 open-vocabulary categories, 100K observation-assignment training samples, and two team-level metrics, goal-level SR and makespan-normalized SPL. We further contribute two baselines. HiGA is a trained hierarchical goal assigner on top of a frozen open-vocabulary navigation policy, and LaViRA-M3 is a training-free team of VLM agents with shared mapping and progress analysis. Adapted multi-robot and zero-shot methods reach 16--27% SR, while our baselines reach 38--41% with complementary strengths and distinct failure modes. Furthermore, we deploy LaViRA-M3 on a heterogeneous three-robot team. Project page: https://robo-lavira.github.io/hm3d-m3/

While multi-fingered dexterous robot hands have the potential to provide human-level dexterity, using them for functional manipulation remains difficult because task success depends on precise contact, coordinated arm-hand motion, and reactive recovery from execution errors. Precise contact depends on complex contact dynamics that are difficult to model accurately in simulation, motivating real-world learning. However, real-world demonstrations in the full arm-hand control space are costly and noisy because each trajectory must coordinate arm motion with high-DoF multi-finger contact. Small execution deviations can further cause slipped contact or premature force application, making recovery from off-nominal contact states important for robust execution. To deal with these challenges, we propose HiFun, a hierarchical real-world RL framework for functional dexterous manipulation tasks. Our key insight is to decouple the control complexity into a functional hand skill for precise contact execution and an arm-hand coordination policy for arm control and hand-skill activation. This design enables effective real-time human intervention for reactive recovery learning and efficient data collection with Dynamic Movement Primitive (DMP) augmentation. Across six real-world tasks on two dexterous hands, HiFun achieves 98.3% average success within one hour of online training and remains robust to dynamic disturbances. Despite the Markov assumption, safety failures in robot reinforcement learning rarely occur instantaneously; they typically emerge over several steps as the policy enters unfamiliar states under disturbances and domain shift. We address this limitation by learning a receding-horizon safety critic that predicts whether a state will remain non-terminating over the next receding horizon, enabling anticipatory detection of impending locomotion failures. The critic is trained from rollout-derived horizon labels with a composite objective that combines horizon classification, control-barrier-function-inspired temporal consistency, and smoothness regularization, and we aggregate an ensemble of critics with a conservative Conditional Value at Risk estimate to account for uncertainty. Building on the learned critic, we derive a closed-form, differentiable CBF-style safety filter that minimally modifies the policy action to improve predicted safety, and integrate it into PPO with an anticipation loss to reduce policy-filter mismatch during training. In simulated quadruped locomotion, our method improves robustness under action noise, external perturbations, and terrain shifts, reducing catastrophic failures while maintaining competitive returns.

Graph-Reweighted Behavior Cloning with Human Interventions for Precise Robotic Manipulation

Long-horizon precise manipulation produces mixed-quality data for post-training vision-language-action (VLA) models: even successful demonstrations and intervention-assisted rollouts may contain detours, hesitations, failed attempts, and imperfect recoveries. The key challenge is to identify which action chunks actually advance the task, rather than uniformly cloning or discarding imperfect trajectories. We propose Graph-Reweighted Behavior Cloning (GR-BC), an offline iterative post-training framework that builds a task-conditioned goal-reachability graph over demonstrations and iteratively collected rollouts, including both successful and failed episodes with human interventions. Reverse graph search computes minimal remaining steps to task success within the dataset support, and each action chunk is weighted by how much its execution reduces this potential. This consequence-based weighting reuses recoverable segments from failed trajectories, leverages interventions as recovery paths, and down-weights locally regressive chunks even inside successful trajectories. New rollouts are incorporated by appending them to the graph and rerunning search, without training a reward model, action-conditioned critic, or progress predictor. Across four precise manipulation tasks and three VLA backbones, GR-BC improves single-round supervised fine-tuning and reaches 91% success after a few offline iterations, without trajectory comparisons or progress labels. Existing robot policy memories typically evolve with observation sequences, implicitly treating each update as the same amount of physical time. Yet identical observation histories can span different durations and require different actions, exposing physical time as a missing dimension of policy memory. We introduce Temporal Flow Policy (TFP), which learns memory dynamics to retain past events and evolve the memory state over measured time intervals. Observations and prior memory determine the content and time scales of each transition; elapsed time determines how far the state advances. TFP conditions diffusion and flow-matching policies through this memory state and is trained with their native imitation objectives. We evaluate TFP with Diffusion Policy and $π_{0.5}$ through controlled comparisons of memory designs. These experiments show that successful timing depends on both measured intervals and retained history. TFP achieves higher average success than the recurrent and state-space memories we equip with the same intervals and than a variant that feeds the interval to a learned gate. Memory readouts recover the time since an event and motion information after occlusion. Changing the supplied intervals systematically delays or advances actions, linking time inputs to behavior. Real-robot tasks requiring timing or memory, together with LIBERO evaluations, demonstrate benefits in physical and general manipulation. These results suggest viewing robot memory not as stored observation history, but as a state that retains past events and evolves with physical time.

Executing a vision-language-action (VLA) policy involves deciding when to continue an attempt and when to intervene to improve its chances of success. We introduce ACRO, an Actor--Critic rollout orchestration layer that makes these decisions for a fixed VLA. ACRO seeks interventions that offer a more promising continuation, are physically feasible, and leave sufficient time to complete the task. A Critic learned from policy rollouts estimates success prospects to decide when to intervene and select a re-entry target along the executed trajectory. Trajectory Retraction shortcuts the visited path to return the robot to that target, where the same VLA resumes execution from a fresh observation. We evaluate ACRO with GR00T N1.7 and $π_{0.5}$ across SimplerEnv, RoboCasa, and real-robot manipulation. Under the same physical execution budget, including all return motion, ACRO improves success by 10.4, 7.3, and 21.7 percentage points, respectively. It also completes additional tasks as the execution budget grows. These results show that controlling when and where a policy resumes can turn its existing capabilities into more successful task executions. Project page: https://junhoo.me/acro

Achieving human-like dexterous manipulation remains a central challenge in robotics. Learning from human hand-object interaction (HOI) datasets offers a promising pathway to diverse dexterous skills, yet existing physics-based approaches train specialist policies for individual trajectories, thereby limiting skill reuse at scale. We introduce DexMimic, a generalist dexterous hand-object tracking policy jointly trained across diverse HOI trajectories. Efficient joint training requires allocating each rollout to both an undertrained phase and a starting state that supports continued tracking. DexMimic realizes this insight through Value-Guided Reset Allocation, which adapts the initialization distribution online to prioritize difficult phases and select reset states with higher expected tracking returns. We further introduce a benchmark spanning training, fine-tuning, and generalization. Experiments show improved tracking success and training efficiency, faster fine-tuning, and the potential for zero-shot generalization to unseen trajectories and objects; larger training sets further improve efficiency and generalization. Finally, we validate DexMimic on a real-world dexterous manipulation platform.

Large-scale robot learning increasingly relies on diverse human demonstrations, yet tactile manipulation data remain difficult to scale, and existing multimodal datasets often lack consistent quality control and structured supervision. We present TacClaw-Infinity, a large-scale structured Vision-Tactile-Language-Action (VTLA) dataset for contact-rich manipulation, collected with TacClaw, a tactile-enabled UMI-style handheld interface that records synchronized visual observations, fingertip tactile signals, and end-effector trajectories without requiring a target robot during data collection. TacClaw-Infinity is built through a distributed worldwide collection across homes, laboratories, industrial workplaces, retail stores, and outdoor environments including tasks contributed by academic and industrial collaborators. Together, these efforts yield over 10,000 hours, 1 million episodes, and 1 billion frames spanning more than 1,000 task types. We develop a scalable pipeline for trajectory reconstruction, multimodal quality control, embodiment-aware filtering, and structured annotation, covering contact-centric segmentation, subtask description, and spatial grounding. We validate TacClaw-Infinity at both the data and model levels: At the data level, we assess the collection interface, the action-space compatibility of the curated demonstrations, and the structured annotations, while for the model level, we demonstrate cross-embodiment transfer across three heterogeneous robots without robot-specific demonstrations.

Computationally lightweight manipulation policies predict executable actions with low inference latency, but prediction errors can limit task success. Iterative generative policies can achieve higher task success rates, but repeated network evaluations increase inference latency. Refining action proposals from computationally lightweight policies can combine these strengths, but the amount of refinement needed varies across states. We introduce RAIN (Refine Actions If Needed), a framework that predicts action errors at different refinement levels to decide whether and how much to refine each executable proposal, before performing any refinement. We train an ensemble to predict these errors by comparing action proposals and their refined versions with expert actions from offline demonstrations, without requiring explicit labels of refinement needs. Calibration balances uncertainty, computation, and temporal consistency. We evaluate RAIN on eight ManiSkill tasks and four real-robot tasks. In simulation, our policy achieves 66.6% success, approaching the best evaluated diffusion-policy success rate with 5.71 times lower policy latency. On the real robot, success increases from 55.0% with Action Chunking with Transformers (ACT) to 72.5%, with comparable average successful completion time. Matched controls show that dynamic routing maintains the strongest observed fixed-refinement success level with 26.6% fewer refiner evaluations. Project page: https://rain-policy.github.io/.

Embodied visual tracking requires a robot to identify a designated target from visual observations and control its own motion to follow that target through an environment. Following an isolated person is a comparatively simple demonstration of embodied visual tracking, but following the intended person among distractors remains challenging. Existing methods exhibit a substantial drop in success from single-target to distractor tracking, motivating a focus on the shared spaces that person-following robots must navigate. We present \method{}, a vision--language waypoint policy built around the hypothesis that visual and language representations should be aligned before tracking-specific motion is learned. The policy combines complementary frozen visual encoders, multiscale temporal context, a transformer backbone, and a lightweight head for robot-centric waypoint prediction. Its training progresses through vision--language alignment, multimodal reasoning mid-training, and tracking specialization on 19,532 oracle episodes. Compared with 41.54% distractor-tracking success for our earlier OmTrackVLA model, the complete multi-stage recipe achieves 55.80%. We then explore on-policy refinement using filtered oracle labels for states visited by the policy. This preliminary study adds 2.42 percentage points of distractor-tracking success, reaching 58.22%, while reducing collision rate by 1.99 pts. The final policy records the highest distractor- and ambiguous-tracking success rates among the compared methods. These results support staged multimodal learning as a promising direction for tracking among distractors and motivate further study of on-policy refinement for person following in shared spaces.

Mobile Manipulation (MoMa) is a cornerstone of autonomous robotic systems, yet real-world fine-tuning remains a formidable challenge because of high-dimensional action spaces and intricate coupling between heterogeneous modules. In this paper, we propose HiRe-MoMa (Hierarchical Residual Mobile Manipulation), a systematic framework for stable and sample-efficient real-world fine-tuning of complex MoMa systems. At its core, HiRe-MoMa adopts a Hierarchical Residual Architecture that fine-tunes a frozen base policy. A Policy-Agnostic Residual learns additive corrections atop the base policy, while Hierarchical Decoupling splits the residual into mobile-base and manipulator-arm heads with unidirectional conditioning, mitigating gradient interference and aligning corrections with the platform's physical hierarchy. To improve sample efficiency in data-expensive real-world settings, we propose Expert-Guided Value Alignment, which leverages sparse human interventions with under 20% training coverage to reshape the critic's value landscape, effectively guiding autonomous exploration through expert priors. Extensive real-world experiments on the TIAGo++ platform demonstrate that HiRe-MoMa consistently enhances task performance with only around 30 minutes of online interaction, regardless of the base policy architecture. To our knowledge, this is among the first frameworks to enable efficient on-robot fine-tuning for mobile manipulation in the real world, providing a practical paradigm for deploying complex robotic systems in dynamic, human-centric environments. Differentiable reinforcement learning shows strong promise for robot policy learning, but its application to legged locomotion has remained limited to blind walking or simulated 2D tasks. Extending it to end-to-end visual obstacle avoidance is challenging because hard collision constraints and early termination upon contact corrupt first-order gradients, trapping optimizers in local minima. We present E2DRL, which addresses this with a soft differentiable obstacle-interaction formulation: penetration penalties across multiple body keypoints with velocity-conditioned stop-gradient shaping to provide the first-order training signals for 3D obstacle avoidance. To realize a deployable perception-control system, a privileged teacher trained via Soft Analytic Policy Optimization (SAPO) in a differentiable simulator is distilled into a recurrent depth-based student via DAgger, then blended with a base locomotion policy using a terrain-aware gating module for deployment. In simulation, E2DRL achieves higher sample efficiency than PPO and demonstrates superior velocity-tracking performance and 3D obstacle-avoidance capability compared with both PPO and Duality-based DCBF NMPC. We present the first sim-to-real validation of end-to-end differentiable RL for 3D obstacle avoidance on a Unitree Go2 in static and dynamic environments.

Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) have been widely applied in embodied agents and robotics for vision tasks. However, MLLMs suffer from limitations in spatial reasoning and perception. Post-training techniques have shown promise for improving these capabilities; yet, there are limited data-driven surveys of such approaches. In this survey, we consider approaches to fine-tuning pretrained MLLMs for spatial reasoning tasks, ranging from supervised to reinforcement learning, with an emphasis on the datasets used. We investigate themes of dataset construction, data modality and annotation, and evaluation of the resulting models. Based on these themes, we categorize research into three groups: dataset design, dataset construction and evaluation. We find four main methods for constructing fixed spatial annotations: rules and templates, LLM prompting, procedural generation, and human-in-the-loop. We also observe substantial variation in evaluation approaches, including different scoring methods, tolerance metrics, and benchmark types. Finally, we identify opportunities for future research in unified dynamic annotation, efficient spatial reasoning, standardization of evaluation, expanded spatial range, and human-centered spatial interactions.

Force feedback provides vision-language-action (VLA) policies with physical observations that can guide action selection and execution. However, differences in tasks, demonstrations, and control settings across existing systems hinder reliable comparisons of force integration designs. We introduce ForceBench, a simulation benchmark for evaluating six-axis wrist-force integration under a unified protocol. ForceBench combines eight tasks spanning physical-property inference, resistance-dependent interaction, and contact-rich assembly with 1,600 synchronized demonstrations and task-specific success criteria. We compare one no-force baseline and six force integration designs on a shared $π_{0.5}$ backbone. Prompt Fusion achieves the highest observed mean simulation success of 35.31%, compared with 23.25% for the baseline, and improves success rates across all three task categories. Predictive and temporal gains in simulation concentrate on physical-property inference, while both temporal designs underperform the baseline on assembly. Real-world evaluation of eight systems across five tasks supports the main qualitative trends: Prompt Fusion and Dual-Path Fusion achieve 63.00% mean success, compared with 40.00% for the baseline, but only Prompt Fusion improves every task. These findings support ForceBench's practical value for identifying the benefits and limitations of force integration across manipulation demands. SafeDriveVLA: Navigation-Conditioned World Model Dreaming for Conflict-Aware End-to-End Autonomous Driving

Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models are gaining attention in autonomous driving, inheriting commonsense priors from large language models (LLMs) and widening the navigation interface from a fixed command set to free-form natural-language instructions. However, this open-ended interface exposes a new vulnerability surface: an inattentive driver may issue instructions that are unsafe given the current scene, and a malicious user may issue dangerous ones on purpose. We present the first benchmark suite that evaluates navigation following and conflict awareness together, along with adversarial robustness. Existing VLAs fall short on both: SimLingo completes no language-instructed lane change in closed loop, and all models degrade sharply under conflicting signals. We propose SafeDriveVLA, the first driving VLA that (1) explicitly predicts a three-level navigation-compliance mode to decouple conflict reasoning from action generation, and (2) uses navigation-conditioned world model dreaming to inform this prediction. Unlike prior world models that roll out expert or planned actions, ours dreams of strictly following the navigation signal, showing when following is safe. SafeDriveVLA reaches 88.16 Driving Score (DS) and 68.64% Success Rate (SR) on Bench2Drive, lifts closed-loop language following by 49.3% and reduces collisions under unsafe instructions from 60 to 38 compared to the best SimLingo variant. Video demonstrations are available on our project page.

Sim-and-real co-training is an effective way to scale robot learning by augmenting limited real-world demonstrations with simulation data. However, existing approaches typically treat simulators as fixed data sources, relying on uniform generation, offline retrieval, or manual parameter alignment by domain experts. We formulate Active Generative Simulation: optimizing a simulator's data-generation distribution to maximize downstream real-world performance. To solve this problem, we propose MetaGenSim, a meta-learning framework that trains an auxiliary rater network via meta-gradients to automatically discover high-utility data-generation distributions within a user-specified simulation parameter space, without manual parameter alignment. Across simulation and real-world manipulation tasks, MetaGenSim outperforms uniform generation and retrieval baselines, achieves a 150% relative improvement in real-world full-task success over uniform generation, and matches expert manual alignment. We further show that distributions curated with a lightweight proxy policy transfer to VLA fine-tuning, and that MetaGenSim can exploit partial alignment through atomic skill stitching and object-receptacle composition when exact sim-and-real task alignment is unavailable. State-of-the-art visuomotor policies are increasingly capable of executing complex tasks, yet can fail during deployment in ways they cannot predict or recover from on their own. Improving their performance and robustness typically requires collecting more data, retraining, or modifying the policy architecture, all of which are time- and resource-intensive in practice. We instead propose an offline-trained monitoring-and-intervention framework that improves a policy during deployment using only black-box query access. From a limited set of labeled on-policy rollouts, we learn a policy-conditioned liveness value that measures the nominal policy's progress toward task completion; we additionally train a compact latent world model using these rollouts together with play data. At deployment, the liveness value continuously monitors execution. When it detects a loss of progress, a short-horizon planner searches the world model for corrective actions using the same value as its planning objective, after which control returns to the nominal policy. We evaluate our method on the LIBERO-Goal task suite and on a Franka Panda manipulator, using the vision-language-action model $π_{0.5}$ and a diffusion policy as nominal policies, and demonstrate significant improvements in task success rates, while supporting real-time control. Additional results and videos are available on the project website (https://policy-improvement-wm.pages.dev/).

Robot-free collection with handheld interfaces enables scalable acquisition of human demonstrations for policy learning. However, existing handheld interfaces often provide limited intuitive force feedback, making contact-rich demonstration collection challenging for human operators. To address this, we present FOMI, a force-feedback manipulation interface with a scissor-shaped mechanism, which transmits object interaction forces directly to the operator's hands through actuation links without force sensors. This intuitive force feedback supports real-time action adjustment during robot-free collection of contact-rich demonstrations. Around FOMI, we build a demonstration collection system that integrates sensor calibration, data acquisition, and synchronization for robot-free collection. By further mapping pose changes and gripper opening of FOMI to robot end-effector poses and gripper commands, the system also supports teleoperation. Across four contact-rich tasks, FOMI improves collection efficiency by approximately 29% and 18% over the best baselines in robot-free collection and teleoperation, respectively. Demonstrations collected with FOMI in both modes enable policies to perform challenging contact-rich manipulation tasks with high success rates.

World models of visual information predict future image frames conditioned on given action sequences. This predicted scene evolution is driven by deterministic changes such as controlled motion on a robot platform, as well as stochastic changes such as rendering of manipulated objects or previously occluded regions. Our key insight is that the spatial location of these stochastic changes is itself learnable. We leverage this insight by jointly regressing both the deterministic next-state prediction and the spatial uncertainty map, then using the uncertainty map to guide a conditional diffusion process. We propose Decoupled Drift-Diffusion World Model (D3WM), which uses a transformer trained with a Gaussian negative-log-likelihood objective to produce both the deterministic next-state prediction and a spatial map of heteroscedastic aleatoric uncertainty. The learned uncertainty map then provides a structured spatial gate for a conditional diffusion model: deterministic regions are anchored to the predicted state, while uncertain regions, such as disocclusions or dynamic textures, are sampled by the diffusion process. We frame this decomposition under a variance-gated stochastic differential equation that separates deterministic drift from stochastic diffusion. D3WM shows improved results over competitive baselines in two distinct types of action spaces: robotic tabletop manipulation and camera motion.

Robots following persistent language instructions must decide which cached room judgments remain valid as their environment changes. We present MIND (Maintenance via INstruction-conditioned Dependencies), a framework for maintaining target-room decisions without re-evaluating every room after each event. A language model compiles each instruction into dependencies for semantic qualification and target selection. The controller intersects semantic dependencies with event footprints, refreshes affected judgments, and updates reachability and selection separately. For fixed deterministic evaluation, planning, and selection, conservative dependency and footprint coverage preserves the decisions of full recomputation. On 240 five-event ProcTHOR sequences with an exact benchmark predicate, MIND reduces mean semantic evaluations from 30.6 to 11.2 while preserving all 1,200 post-event decisions. Frozen-evaluator experiments with Phi-4 and Qwen3-14B also preserve all 1,200 decisions, without improving the evaluators' underlying task accuracy. In 32 closed-loop AI2-THOR episodes using exact-predicate qualification and metadata-derived footprints, MIND matches the final target decision of full recomputation in every episode. Unitree G1 experiments demonstrate target reuse and reselection across room transitions without additional semantic evaluations under MIND, and abstention after a barrier and an object removal at 4 evaluations against 15 to 18. Additional materials are available at https://mind-icra27.github.io/.

World models trained via latent dynamics offer a scalable path for embodied planning, yet existing methods suffer from representational collapse, computational overhead, and limited long-horizon capability. We introduce a memory-enhanced latent world model that augments JEPA-style prediction with a content-addressable memory bank. Our approach learns high-level representations directly from observations, operating at multiple temporal scales within a shared latent space, and conditions predictions via adaptive layer normalization. To prevent collapse and ensure effective memory usage, we design two complementary losses that encourage slot diversity and balanced temporal utilization. Experiments on PushT, Tworoom, Reacher, and OGBCube demonstrate that our method achieves state-of-the-art performance with a lightweight architecture, outperforming conventional latent world models on long-horizon planning tasks.

Robotic disassembly of end-of-life (EoL) products requires robots to accommodate product variation, follow prerequisite sequences, and approach components precisely for contact-rich manipulation. Supervised fine-tuning (SFT) provides a practical path for adaptation, but limited and costly disassembly data cannot capture the distribution shifts arising from changing environments and product uncertainties. The policy's own rollouts record its approach attempts, and human corrections demonstrate recovery from its errors, but turning these experiences into better policy performance remains challenging. We introduce PACER, a Process-Aware Correction and Evidence Reweighting framework that learns from these experiences through SFT, using progress toward the target and each trace's source and outcome to weight valid action chunks in the native supervised action loss. PACER trains one policy per weighting setting and selects one of the resulting policies through held-out validation. We evaluate PACER on UR5e motherboard disassembly across five component classes, where it achieves 87/100 successful approach-and-handoff trials on the held-out benchmark, compared with 54/100 for vanilla post-SFT.

Offline navigation demonstrations are multimodal, because one observation often allows several valid actions, such as passing an obstacle on either side. Behavior cloning averages these actions, potentially leading to unsafe routes. Multimodal policies must discover the alternatives from the data, but similar states can lead to different routes whose current actions overlap. In navigation, the alternatives have a geometric cause and can be computed from one observation. We propose a hierarchical neural-network policy that computes candidate modes from local geometry and learns from demonstrations which mode to follow and how. A high-level policy selects a mode using the goal and its previous choice among a set of candidate modes, and a low-level policy turns it into an action. In simulation, the policy succeeds in over 95% of seen and unseen test cases, compared with at most 43% and 20% for four offline learning baselines and 79% and 67% for a heuristic that uses the same modes without learning. The simulation-trained policy also transfers to a LimX Tron 1 bipedal robot.

Learning world models across diverse domains calls for a unified control space, yet ac- tion interfaces vary across domains and action annotations are often scarce. Latent ac- tions learned directly from videos offer a promising way to establish such a space without explicit action supervision. However, learning shared latent actions across domains re- mains challenging, as variations in appearance, embodiment, and dynamics can entangle domain-specific visual cues with transferable transition structure. To this end, we intro- duce OneLA, a simple framework that learns continuous latent actions through a shared orthogonal dictionary and a common predictive objective, without task-specific designs or cross-domain alignment losses during latent action pretraining. These latent actions pro- vide a shared conditioning interface for world models, with lightweight adapters mapping native control commands into the same space. Conditioned on latent actions and the cur- rent visual state, the world model predicts context-dependent transitions for controllable rollout. OneLA improves action readout across domains and reduces action cycle-transfer rotation error by 24.8% over the strongest evaluated baseline. A joint-training comparison further shows a 20.5% improvement in Human Preference Score v3 (HPSv3) for real- scene generation. These results suggest a path toward general-purpose world models that learn from diverse videos and support flexible control through latent action space.
